Dr. Messenger received his BS in Neuroscience from Trinity College in Hartford, CT where he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa national honor society. His interest in the field of Pharmacology motivated him to pursue both an MD degree and an MS in Pharmacology from New York Medical College. There, he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) national medical honor society for his standing in the top 10% of his class. He subsequently decided to pursue internal medicine for its broad overview of every field and optimal benefit to patients, further enhanced by his outstanding diagnostic skills and pharmacology expertise.
He was elected Chief Resident at the Yale University Residency Program at Greenwich Hospital and devised a major patient safety initiative there, using computers to accurately and legibly allow physicians to order medications (published), and subsequently held office of Chief Medical Information Officer. One of the youngest physicians to receive the prestigious Physician Partner in Care Award at Greenwich Hospital, Dr. Messenger was voted by nurses to be the physician they felt most comprehensively displayed outstanding skill in patient care, compassion and team leadership.

Dr. Messenger's Technique
"While being trained by the filler companies, dermatologists and plastic surgeons I came to the conclusion that the traditional techniques were antiquated and artistically and anatomically inaccurate when I tried to utilize them myself. I found that the techniques were rough and created not only unnecessary trauma and pain, they only treated the effects of aging rather than the cause. I developed my own technique which treats the cause of aging, which is mainly due to loss of volume such as collagen, fat, etc.
I only replace what is lost using, a gentle, conservative and natural looking technique by using your own facial bones as the "scaffolding." By doing this, the end result is undetectable to not only people but to the patients themselves. They will not be able to tell what is filler and what is their own tissue. Thus, no lumps, bumps, or discoloration of the skin. I have also greatly modified the traditional injection technique for Botulinum Toxin A (brand names are Botox, Dysport and Xeomin) to create a fast acting yet smooth, natural appearance without the fake, frozen look. I am an artist in the sense that I am a sculptor and a musician and have combined my artistic side with my left brained, scientific/physician side to create the most natural techniques for facial enhancement."
